TextEN	Ausonia was a planned Italian Ocean Liner, being build in Germany. Because of the war it was not finished. 1918 many concepts were discussed to finish it as aircraft carrier. It was not realized. Much info and plans can be found in http://shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=169882#p169882 My model shows one of the concepts. As base I used a rough and simple 3D print by Ring Miniatures, which I tuned a bit. As aircraft for the reconnaisance and as light bomber I chose a stable 2-seater, the LVG C.VI. Reduced Aircraft Factory on Shapeways (Shop: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/raf ) had a very nice 3D-print available. The designer scaled it to 1/700 for me. Daryl, many thanks again!! It is a wonderful model. As fighter, a Fokker DVII would have been nice. But not available. So I took an Albatros D.III. Also from Reduced Aircraft Factory. As floatplane I like the Hansa-Brandenburg W.33, also 3D-printed, here from SNAFU (Shop: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/snafu ).
